Cancellation Policy
At Box Canyon Barbershop we understand that schedule conflicts and last-minute changes are necessary at times. We respectfully ask for 24-hour notice for any cancellation request in order to not charge your account and to give other people an opportunity to book with us.
The first occurrence will result in a warning/clarification with the customer. An appointment canceled within 2 hours of the scheduled time will result in a charge of 50% of the original service fee, to be charged at the time of your next visit, or to your credit card or gift card on file. We ask to avoid charges made to your account, that you please call to reschedule or cancel if you are in that 24-hour window, in good faith you will be a returning customer to the shop.
No Show Policy
Box Canyon Barbershop reserves the right to charge the client up to 100% of the cost of the service signed up for if you miss your appointment and fail to notify the shop within 2 hrs. prior. We understand that things happen and come up short notice, but please do your very best to notify us if you are unable to make it with as much notice as possible. We are structured this way with hopes of enough notice; we still may be able to accommodate another client.
Late for your Appointment
If you are late for your appointment, your barber reserves the right to refuse service and charge the client up to 100% of the cost of the service signed up for if we require rebooking. We will do our best to accommodate your service if you are a minute or two late, but please understand that it will cause us to run late beyond your appointment into the next appointment(s), thus making it difficult to stay on time. We respect your time, and we desire to give you the full amount of time for your appointment to give you the best service possible, please respect our time as well. We will be happy to reschedule you for another future appointment.
Requesting Additional Services
Oftentimes, clients request additional services while in the chair that they have not signed up for. For example, a client who signed up for a classic gentlemen’s haircut and has a beard, and while they are in the chair, request a beard trim or cleanup. Be advised, the barber reserves the right to deny the additional service. If the barber decides they have the appropriate amount of time to perform the additional service, you will be expected to pay for that additional service.
Signing Up for the Wrong Service
Please do your best to sign up for the correct service. If you sign up for the incorrect service and it is a service that takes a longer time slot, the barber reserves the right to refuse service and possibly require to reschedule you. Also, if you sign up for a longer service and are requesting a service with a shorter time slot, be aware, you may be responsible to pay for the service you signed up for. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call the shop, we will be happy to help you.
Opt-Out of Part of Service
Services are charged as reserved and include all components of the service. We do not offer a discounted price if a client chooses to opt-out of a portion of their service. (Ex. razor line-up on beard trim)
Return Policy
At Box Canyon Barbershop we are committed to excellence and the satisfaction of our clients without exception. If a service is performed and you feel unsatisfied with your experience, we will invite you back to the shop of your choice to redo or correct the service to ensure your satisfaction.
Why do you Need My Phone Number & Email?
Phone Number: Since phone numbers are more unique than client names, we use phone numbers to create or find client files in our appointment software. This helps avoid one client having multiple files in our system and also allows us to text appointment reminders for those clients who prefer text over email.
Email Address: Box Canyon Barbershop asks for an email address as another option to receive appointment reminders. We may also periodically send special offers and opportunities to review barbers and shop special features. Clients may unsubscribe from these emails at any time.
Why do you need my credit card information?
Your credit card information is obtained for our policies in place at the shop. Please read our policies before booking. You will not be charged before your service has been provided unless one of our policies has been obstructed. This enhances our barbershop by expressing we are serious about your appointment, your time, and ours. Thanks for understanding.
Why Does the Shop Talk About Real Estate or Local Updates?
Our barbershop is designed to keep clients informed about curated shop enhancements, community developments, and real estate topics that impact the area. These conversations are intended to be thoughtful, educational, and engaging, helping clients build perspective and confidence in meaningful dialogue.
Clients are never required to participate. If a quieter experience is preferred, barbers will shift the conversation accordingly, unless scheduled otherwise.
All discussions are conducted respectfully. Personal attacks or anything that compromises a client’s comfort are not permitted. The priority is to ensure every client feels valued, comfortable, and welcome—whether participating in conversation or simply enjoying their service.
Real Estate Consultation Bookings Coming Soon
We will soon offer a space to book real estate services online, ensuring your Realtor ®, who is also your barber, can meet with you conveniently, purposefully, and specifically. All real estate meetings will be held at the shop unless further discussed, and all personal real estate information will be kept completely confidential.
Important Booking Notes:
If you book a real estate appointment, no additional barbering services will be added to that time slot. Each appointment—barbering or real estate—must be booked separately. This ensures dedicated focus and smooth scheduling for both services.
Payment for real estate services will only be collected at closing, based on the agreed-upon compensation for each transaction. Each deal may vary, as every property and service is unique, and terms are determined individually to reflect the specifics of the situation.
For your convenience, a printed real estate policy is being curated and will be available in the shop for reference as soon as possible, demonstrating our commitment to clear communication and professional service.
