Sara is a Licensed Barber in the state of Colorado.

A New Hampshire native, who’s been licensed in cosmetology since 2011 and barbering since 2013, she ventured to Colorado in 2017, making her way to the western slope by 2020 with her newly formed family. Her journey has carried her through a variety of workplaces—from small, family-run barbershops to larger commercial spaces—and across a spectrum of careers, including hospitality, management, as well as she currently holds a license in Colorado real estate.

Each experience has shaped her approach: attentive, professional, and ready to meet the needs of every client who sits in her chair.

She specializes in bald fades, straight-razor services, classic gentlemen’s styles, beard care, and long haircuts, with particular joy in perfecting flattops, high-and-tights, faded mohawks, and tapered hairlines.

For her, barbering is a craft, a tradition, and a way to connect with people, offering them not just a haircut, but a genuine, old-fashioned experience.

At Box Canyon Barbershop, we welcome locals, seasonal residents, and visitors alike. The shop is a space for conversation, care, and timeless service—where skill, attention, and respect come together.

Outside the chair, Sara enjoys dirt biking, rock climbing, canyoneering, hunting, singing, theatre, photography, exploring and more.

Sara looks forward to getting to know the community and building deeper roots while continuing to provide the service Ouray County has been seeking.
